The Georgian
Quilters' Guild was formed in October 1996 to promote the art and craftsmanship
of Quilting in the Meaford - Thornbury area of Grey County.
This objective is met by the following activities:
Ideas are exchanged.
New techniques are demonstrated by members or guest speakers or by video demonstration.
A library of quilting books and magazines is provided.
Members show and share their completed quilting projects.
Members may request assistance with their quilting problems.
In addition to monthly meetings, special
arrangements are made for workshops, quilting bees, group projects and
tours to quilt shows and exhibits.
Meetings are held in the
Terrace Room of the Meaford Hall at 1:30
p.m. on the third Thursday of the month from September to June with the
exception of December, meeting on the second Thursday.
New Members and Visitors are welcome - no quilting experience is required.
The Guild is a participating member of the Ontario
Quilting Connections which networks to over 60 Ontario Guilds.
