| Georgian Recreation Club is a non-profit
club, founded in 1988 for the enjoyment of all seniors. It is operated
by a volunteer ten member board. Our activities are cards (euchre and bridge),
curling and shuffleboard. An annual membership of $5. entitles you to participate
in all activities which are held at the Meaford Curling Club at 130 Collingwood
Street West.
ANNUAL FEES INCLUDE: A - TUESDAY CARDS: $1. is paid each day you play. For this bargain amount you may win a cash prize as well as enjoy coffee or tea and sweets during a social time following cards. It is expected that anyone who is physically capable will volunteer at least once or twice to prepare the food and beverage and set up card tables. Card playing begins at 1:15pm on the Tuesday in October following the Apple Harvest Craft Show and ends on the last Tuesday in April. B - TUESDAY SHUFFLEBOARD: $25. for the season or $3. per day of play. Play begins at 1:00pm from the middle of May to the end of September. C - MONDAY MORNING CURLING: $25. for the season or $5. per day of play. Play begins the first Monday of November and end the last Monday in March. A catered meal is held in December and April at a reasonable charge for all members. This is a great club to meet other seniors and have fun. We warmly welcome all seniors. CHAIRPERSON: May Breadner
