Meaford - Friends of the Library - Old Net Shed
Thanks to the generosity and continued support of Judge Ian and Loretta McKay, the Friends have had the use of a century old building on Meaford's Harbour, a relic of the fishing heydays of Meaford. The building was originally a fish net fabrication and repair facility hence the name "The Net Shed". It is located at the corner of Collingwood & Bayfield Streets and it is the home of the Friends' Book Store where thousands of gently-read books are offered for sale by donation. Everyone is encouraged to visit and check out the books or pull up a chair and read under the trees. Browsers are always welcome.
Donations
The Friends need books for their Book Store at The Net Shed. Donations are always welcome and are accepted every weekend throughout the Summer months up to the October closing. Kindly do not leave books outside the Net shed. For the safety of our volunteers and the protection of our book supply please check to ensure your donations are mildew free. Also, magazines, old text books and enclclopediae are very poor sellers. Please dispose of them at home and save our volunteers from having to do so.
