Jim McPherson - Councillor

Jim, aged 47, is the owner and operator of the popular Earth Harvest Café in downtown Meaford. He and his wife Karen moved from Calgary to Meaford to build a business and a better family life. They have 2 ½ year old son, Jeffrey. Jim has a Bachelors of Journalism from Carleton University and a Masters in Public Administration from Concordia University and has 19 years of business experience in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta.

The bottom line is we must lower our municipal taxes

Meaford's sky-high taxes need to be lowered. The past Council was successful in not increasing taxes. Now, we need to work together to lower taxes by cutting costs and increasing the municipal tax base.

The bottom line is we need a better Council

The new Council must work together to attract new business to this area. We must be an open and welcoming Council, aggressively marketing our Municipality as the best place to set up a business in Ontario.

The bottom line is we need lower taxes.
The bottom line is we need a team player.
The bottom line is we need someone to better represent our citizens and make sure our taxes are spent wisely.

The bottom line is we need business man - family man Jim McPherson as a voice for business and good sense on Meaford Council.
