Meaford Harbour Dredging - 1997



During the summer of 1997 the remaining shallow areas of Meaford's Old Harbour were dredged to a depth of approximately 12 feet.
This work was undertaken by the East Grey Hunters and Anglers Association in partnership with the Town of Meaford and the Township of St. Vincent.
The Bighead river also had areas dredged to help prevent the material from entering the harbour area. Aggregate removed will be used by the Town and Township for road maintainence.
