The hole below the Bakeshop bridge (Legion) was dredged to a depth
of approximately 12 feet deep during July 1996. The work will improve fishing
opportunities at this location and also help collect gravel before it can
reach the Meaford Harbour. This location will be dredged on a yearly basis
with the gravel being used for spawning beds at the club's Orchard Creek
Fish & Wildlife Sanctuary located just outside of Meaford
